This early 1900’s farmhouse had too much charm to be ignored.  The owners used their interior design and handcrafting skills to finish off the new mudroom, kitchen and second story addition constructed by Barlow Construction.  To keep with the character of the original farmhouse, much of the “new” work was in fact “old”.  The owners tracked down old furniture for bathroom vanities, an apothecary cabinet for kitchen storage along with a local artist, Darryn Frost, who handcrafted an 11′-0″ long trestle table of reclaimed wood to fit perfectly in their new kitchen.  For the new mudroom addition, the owners found timbers originally from the old Collins building on the Everett waterfront that they reclaimed and exposed in the ceiling.  In addition, they used old doors to build the new storage cubbies.  The final result is a new space, with lots of history.
